Black History Month

As Black History Month comes to a close, we continue to celebrate the rich historical contributions that are the underpinnings of America.  One valiant contributor was the late, great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

An afternoon with a King — Recently in a symposium featuring his daughter, Dr. Bernice King, she echoed her father’s passion for peace, for equity and most of all for love.  Her recent children’s book – It Starts with Me – is based on a character who shows people how to open their hearts and minds by allowing love to drive their words, actions, and thoughts, believing through love, we can create a world where everyone feels like they belong.

Happy Holidays!

Donations may be made online at www.ccoic.org/donate

Dear Friends,
The past year has been challenging for everyone, but thanks to you, CCOIC was able to help our community members in need. You enabled us to keep offering adult education classes like English as a Second Language (ESL) and GED classes to help adults obtain their high school equivalency diplomas. Your support funded nursing programs that helped hard working women and men become health care providers–enabling them to have a career and earn a living wage–while also helping to fill essential health care positions that make our community safer and stronger.
Through virtual, in-person, and sometimes a hybrid of both, during the past year, you made a difference to thousands of children, men, women, and families in our community. You came through when it mattered and you made a difference!

We are grateful for your support and wish you the happiest of holidays and many blessings for the New Year.
With gratitude,
Joyce Chester, CEO/President

Help us fill our tree and an angel will get its wings!
For every donation made, we will add an angel ornament to the CCOIC tree with your name on a tag.
Donations may be made online at www.ccoic.org/donate or checks may be mailed to
CCOIC at 22 N. 5th Avenue, Coatesville, PA 19320.
