“I took some pictures of my class yesterday during our library visit. We had a great time! We started our day with a library tour provided by a librarian (Jamie did a great job!). Our students were able to learn about the resources provided by Chester County Library in Exton as well as online resources. We went to the ESL area of the library, and students picked Level 1 graded readers to practice extensive reading at home. Afterwards, students created a reading schedule that fits their daily activities and a reading goal to finish the book. They received instruction on reading strategies and how to create a personal dictionary. We completed the Library Card Application Form together in the classroom and went together to the front desk to get library cards. All the students left the library with brand new library cards and books! (They were very excited about that).”
