Proud to be a AHHAH site!

CCOIC is proud to be an organization that offers education to a wide range of people looking to better their knowledge and lives! Now we are thankful to be the newest AHHAH site for handing out books to local kids!! Thank you to AHHAH and Jan Michener! This will be an exciting opportunity for Coatesville families and we can’t wait to share more about our partnership and the CCIU student workers who will help us make a difference in young readers lives!

OIC receives two-year grant.

The Alliance for Health Equity (AHE) will award a two-year grant in the amount of $225,000 to the Chester County OIC (Opportunities Industrialization Center) for the Homelessness and Unemployment in Coatesville Collective.

The collective aims to help people live healthy and well by increasing employment, living wages, and housing stability for 18- to 24-year-old adults of color living in Coatesville.

The AHE began a three-phase process to implement a Collective Impact model for the Homelessness and Unemployment in Coatesville Collective. Collective Impact is a disciplined, cross-sector approach to solving complex social and environmental issues on a large scale.
